Social recommendations from people you trust
I love this app. It's easy to find and rave places you like. You can add pictures and comments as well. You can search near your location to find places your friends have raved. You can follow the raves if your Facebook friends, plus uber ravers you select, so you don't have to wade through crap reviews. Plus, it makes it easy to save your favorite places for future reference. Click the "i" icon for maps, phone number, yelp reviews and social activity. I love that you can quickly check out how many of your Facebook friends have liked a place. Great looking interface too!
Great way to get recos from trusted people
I’ve been a FourSquare, Yelp, TripAdvisor user for a while and Raved does a great job of bringing together the value of these 3 services. I can now get recos from trusted friends in the area or from friends who have visited (or lived in!) the cities I’m visiting. Raved is really helpful on business trips!
I like the lists feature and being able to follow recommendations from top Raved users. I noticed Steve Wozniak has a list of recommendations. I’m a HUGE Apple fan so it’s cool to see what The Woz likes.
Most useful local places app yet
Combines aspects of Yelp, Foursquare, and Facebook in a way that allows you to use just the Raved app rather than jump around all of those other ones. I also like that it incorporates your friends' Facebook likes of local places and makes them useful, which they are not on FB currently. Looking forward to seeing how this continues to evolve.
