Description

Maybe you're the kind of knitter that always has things in order. You'd love nothing better than to set up each row of a pattern before you even cast on. Or maybe you're the type that dives in with abandon... but would love a lifeline to easily get started again, no matter how long that shawl or hat or intricate baby sweater has been lost in the bottom of your bag.

Either way or somewhere in between, Knitamus is designed for you.

Each Knitamus project can have as many pieces as you need (for sleeves, front, and back, for instance). And each piece has a single counter so you always know which row you're on. Easily display as many PDF pages or chart photos as you need in the special chart window with an adjustable highlight bar that remembers each row. You can quickly page through to set the highlight for every row before you even start, including repeating highlights, or you can just get started and each row will be remembered as you go in case you knit it again. Easily add notes, repeating or not, to any row at any time.

iCloud sync allows you to work on your iPhone when you're out and about, or enjoy the larger space of your iPad when it's available.

The Ravelry connection keeps your photos and project status up-to-date automatically.

The Apple Watch app will display notes and repeat information for current projects found in your iCloud account, or you can use it as a simple counter without iCloud.

I hope you enjoy Knitamus! Please share the love by leaving a review on the App Store and contact me by email with any questions or concerns.

Happy knitting!

What’s New

Version 3.3.2

You can now move text notes to different rows if you need to! When editing the note, tap the '↑↓' in the title bar and you'll be guided through moving your note (and any others that are part of its repeating group).

Also fixed a few crashes, especially for iCloud sync.

Could be better, esp for the price

I have used a couple of different knitting apps including knit companion, and I do like this one, especially the way it syncs to Ravelry. I do not like the subscription model, which is why I only gave this four stars.

I appreciate the work that goes into developing an app like this, and the knitter-specific thought that went into things like highlighting lines on patterns, but for the same $20 I just spent for the year, I also have purchased notability where I can do nearly everything that this app does (except for syncing to Rav).

Other users have reported this to be non--intuitive, but I didn't find that to be the case. It worked fine for me and it was really helpful for the projects I've used it for

If you knit, you need this app

Knitamus is a great app which will connect to your Ravelry account and import your projects. You can sync all of your devices by using iCloud syncing which means no matter where you are, you can update your projects.

I create a new project and it appears in Ravelry. I added photos for my project and they appear in Ravelry as well. Keep up with your status and see it on Ravelry. Basically, Knitamus helps me keep up with my projects on Ravelry.

Do you use charts? If you do, Knitamus is the best app for charts. I imported my pattern from Ravelry (open PDF from Ravelry library and then Share to Knitamus), and added the charts to my project. Then I resized the page, so that the charts are the perfect size, and highlighted the row I’m on. The page will lock after a minute to keep you from accidentally moving your location. There is an unlock button that you tap to move to your next row. I love this app for charting.

Does your project have a lot of repeats? Knitamus can help you keep track of them.

I really like Knitamus and recommend it for all knitters. It’s really helped me keep track of my Ravelry projects. Whereas before Knitamus, I would just update Ravelry every few months. Knitamus makes it seamless.

Every Knitter’s Must Have!

Knitamus is a must-have for every knitter I know. It helps me keep track of where I’m at in my project, and the developer has thought of everything!

I’ve used Knitamus for years and the new version looks completely new and modern. If you are struggling to keep track of your repeats, row counts or notes, I can’t recommend Knitamus enough. It is a stable app too, and the developer support is very responsive.
