Amazing resource!

This app is such a great resource for new breast feeding mothers. It is practical and concise and gives all of the information you need and none of the information you don't need about breast feeding. The internet is loaded with information about breast feeding which is both a blessing and a curse! It's overwhelming to sift through hundreds of websites looking for answers to your questions. It is even more overwhelming to overload yourself with too much complicated (and sometimes inaccurate) information when all you really want to do is feed your baby!
Everything here is simplified and organized in a really easy way. I loved the advice about coaxing yourself through, one feeding at a time, when things seem too difficult. In the very early weeks there were many times when I was convinced that breastfeeding wasn't working out. But now I am so glad that I stuck with it because nothing is more beautiful and perfect than sustaining your baby with your own body. It really does get easier if you stick with it and seek help from real professionals and resources like this.

5 stars for having the RIGHT information...

My wife and I recently had our first baby. We spent a lot of time during pregnancy reading up on prenatal care and breastfeeding methods. We took a handful of classes, practiced hypnobabies techniques, and took great care to be as prepared and knowledgeable as we could be as first timers. But, if you're reading this, you know there's a lot of information out there about all this stuff and lots of different approaches to everything involving a newborn baby. The value of this app is not that it provides information about breast feeding, but that it collects and provides the RIGHT information. And when you're in the middle of feeding the first week, or working on the initial latch, or feeding at 6 months, you're going to want this information at your fingertips. It's wise, natural, and empowering. The app has been a massive help to have in these early days, and saved us from needing to sift through the sea of information on the web when we needed quick reference.

Worth every penny.

Impressed!

As a health care provider, I find this app to be a valuable asset to recommend to my patients, and I have also shared it with many of my colleagues. I am impressed with the wealth of information and useful tips for new parents that it provides in such a practical and well-organized format. Most of my work is in an emergency setting, and for patients presenting with breastfeeding related concerns, Breastfeeding Central provides the reassurance that they need after discharge. On a personal note, it is wonderful to know that when the day comes that I too may find myself challenged by the skills of breastfeeding, that such a supportive resource will be available to me. Perhaps my only wish for the future would be if a Spanish language version of the app (or other languages for that matter) could be developed, to make it available to an even wider population.
