Missing the big mountains

The app is really good for identifying the smaller peaks but from the middle of Puget Sound in Washington state, it does not identify Mount Baker or Mount Ranier, the two most prominent peaks. I suspect that they are too far away so the software ignores them. Would be better to have an algorithm that calculates the curvature of the earth and the height of the peaks to determine what is visible.
