Soothing Lullabies

Ok maybe it doesn’t actually play lullabies but music of your choice. So I made a “sleepy time” play list of various songs I wouldn’t usually listen to, especially consecutively, because they are really slow and “sleepy”. I actually like the music but when you put a bunch of these together, it tends to help me clear my thoughts and relax on nights when I just don’t feel like I’m able to fall asleep. And with this app set to 15 minutes, I’m usually asleep before it shuts off my music for me.

It shuts off the music exactly the way I expected it to do and as a result, on those nights when I can’t seem to relax because I’ve got too many things running around in my brain, I’ve got my music that will help me fall asleep then shut off so that the music won’t wake me up later.

It could be better

I downloaded this app last night at 12am, hoping that it would help me save battery. My phone was at 100%-98% when I turned on the timer and music. The music turned off, which was good, but the thing I cared more about was my battery life. I randomly woke up at 4, and I decided to check on my phone before I went back to sleep. It was at 75% which was pretty disappointing. I decided to put the music and timer back on before I went to bed, just for testing purposes, and when I woke up around 9, my phone was at 60%. Once when I simply let music play all night without a timer (11pm-8pm, making the time periods that I sleep the same as last night), I only lost 30%, which is obviously less battery loss then the 40% I had with the timer. I don't know what the app did after I went to sleep and once the timer went off, but it didn't help much.

I'm really sorry if I'm sounding kind of rude. I just think that this app needs some improvement. If you guys can release a new update, fixing it, then I'll try out the app again and then probably write another review. I'm probably going to experiment some more with it tonight, but I don't think I'm doing anything wrong.

Buy them cup of coffee

For those who are lucky enough to read actual review (like mine), ignore the 1st review about battery. If you have not done something weird to your phone, this app will turn off your music app when your time's up, making your phone inactive as it should be if your phone can endure 40 mins of music (unless you have something else up). There are so many apps out there that disappointed me by either destroying battery or simply not working but this app has your phone at least brightness with only clock that's counting down the time left, saving my battery more than I expected. If you find yourself better app, good for you! If you find this app helpful, buy them a cup of coffee, if you will.
