Description

“This app is incredibly educational. It illustrates what became of my little company after I passed away, and shows the pride its people share today. I am truly inspired, and I’m confident you will be too. Download this app now!” – W. W. Cargill (1844-1909)

When entrepreneur William Wallace (W. W.) Cargill moved to Conover, Iowa, in 1865 and bought a grain warehouse at the end of the McGregor-Western Railroad, he thought he might be onto an idea for a successful business. He was correct, but he couldn’t possibly have known how successful it would become.

From those humble beginnings grew the impressive global agribusiness we know today, employing 143,000 people across 69 business units operating in 67 countries around the world. In the intervening century and a half, Minneapolis-based and family-owned Cargill has established a proud legacy of helping the people and organizations it works with achieve success.

In 2015, Cargill is celebrating 150 years of helping the world thrive.

This app tells the stories of Cargill’s first 150 years – in the words of former employees along with contributions from today’s global workforce, expressed through a variety of activities created as an outlet for their Cargill pride.

Nice way to get Cargill news and history

If you are interested in Cargill news and history, this app is great for that. As you can see Cargill is celebrating 150 years in business in 2015 although I hope the celebration continues in 2016.

I have a small suggestion: I would like the app to keep track of the stories I've read with some kind of marking. I don't want them to disappear as I do reread some stories.

Update: The current version updates faster than the previous one did. Thanks for the improvement.
