WebMD ONE with Daily Habits is Awesome

One of the most challenging aspects of personal behavior change is having a system that transforms your big health improvement goal into tiny activities that you can easily do while making it convenient for you to track your activity completion along with helpful prompts to stay with the program. I’ve found WebMD ONE smartphone app with Daily Habits to be the key to my success. The app is solid, no crashes or noticeable bugs. The UI is clean, engaging, and relaxing to interact with. It also automatically syncs with the desktop and bowser experiences that I use when in the office. I can get to Daily Habits with just two clicks, one to login with Touch ID and the second to go to the Daily Habit product experience. I also enjoy many of the other capabilities built into the app such as health and wellness driven interest streams, a clinically based health assessment, health coaching (voice and secure text chat), and The Invitational for team-based challenges. I highly recommend this app if you are eligible to use it as a health plan member or an employee of a company that buys it for their workforce. (This app is not available to the general public).

Easy UI

My employer requires all of the employees and spouses that are covered under their health insurance policy earn a certain number of wellness credits each year otherwise we get charged $240 per employee plus an additional $240 per covered spouse. Our health insurance is 100% employer paid and the wellness credits are an incentive to keep employees healthy in turn likely saving them from having to pay out unnecessary claims that could be avoided by a more healthy lifestyle.

Having an application on my iPhone to earn and keep track of my credits on the go makes a huge difference as I oversee landscaping crews in the field and not having to log in on my laptop daily to manage this saves me a lot of time.

There are still quite a few rewards tasks that prompt you to login to the desktop site and it would be great to see those brought into the mobile application as well.

Update: Much better

This is an update to a previous one star review. Back then it was not at all user friendly. They have since updated the app and it is a whole lot better with an “app” feel to it versus the previous which was more of a desktop version. I like it now and it’s so much easier to navigate.
