- Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually at the rate selected depending on the subscription plans. Alternatively there are one-time payment options available as well.(Those are not subscriptions)
- Subscriptions auto-renew at the cost of the chosen package, unless cancelled 24-hours in advance prior to the end of the current period.

The subscription fee is charged to your iTunes account at the confirmation of purchase. You may manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal by going to your Account Settings after purchase. Per Apple policy, no cancellation of the current subscription is allowed during active subscription period. Once purchased, refunds will not be provided for any unused portion of the term.

Wish we could go straight to the Writings
Edit: Two years ago I wrote the review below. Since then, I have been regretting any harsh tone in my statements, and I want to share my deep appreciation for what you have done to create this beautiful tool for studying the Writings.

Thank you for all the work done to make this app. It seems the "contact the developer" link is not currently working, so I thought I'd write a review until I can contact them directly again. The more recent updates of this app make you look at an ad for another Baha'i Writings app, or a page asking you to support the app monetarily, before continuing to the Writings. I imagine that the experience of using the app would be less jarring and more spiritual if you weren't forced to look at these pages. It makes me reluctant to open the app because I know I'll have to see them instead of heading straight for the Book I have been reading. Aiming for being pleasing to people's spirits may lead to more monetary contributions than having the page requesting money pop up. Thanks again for creating this study tool.

Addressing the other two points raised: The ad for my other App - 9 Quotes comes about every 9th time you open the App and it will stop showing if you have this App installed. It is really my only way to tell people about the other App and also 9 Quotes can work together with One Ocean. So I really believe it has great value to everyone. If you can't afford it than please check the App Store on the weekend of the Bicentennial Celebration. I will make 9 Quotes free on this special occasion. Regarding the other point raised: It was indeed not an easy decision but I had two options. 1. Stop investing my time in One Ocean or help this project generate a little income so my small family can afford to continue our service project. What happens behind the scene is that after 95 times of opening One Ocean you will be presented with the screen asking if the app was inspirational for you and if you can join our service project by supporting the development. This message will not show again till the ~130th time you open one ocean and from then will show every time with a 1 in 9 chance. After having opened One Ocean 200 times it will always direct you to the page where you make a contribution. --------------------------------------- At any point, once a user has made any contribution of the 6 available options none of those messages will ever show again. I agree it is not an ideal scenario but the truth is that only 1% of users actually made a contribution and the challenge is how can we keep the app free while increasing the conversion rate of users into supporters. After all, we all love this App and after having used it 200 times wouldn't it be reasonable to assume that the user finds great value in it? ---------------------------- Definitely agree with your points though and I can also see room for improvement to communicate all this within the App, again this requires careful design, trial and error and a lot of time. Great app
I downloaded this app a while ago and honestly forgot about it when I was reading more prayers through prayer books. But due to constantly being on the go! I have made it my new favorite on the road tool. I use it everywhere. In my car, at work, at home when I want to find specific categories quicker. It’s just so helpful.
Navigation
Trying to get past the subscription advertisements is hard enough, but sometimes, while I’m reading a selection I’ll decide that I need to see something else, and, on my iPad, I’ll discover that I can only continue on the selection I’m in, not go back to the menu, not even double check which book I’m in.
The breadth of the available Writings is wonderful, swimming in this Mighty Ocean is awe inspiring, but trying to get around is almost like I’m dragging a weight rather than swimming freely.
Please bring this program up to the promise it sometimes shows us.
